In early 1955, Parker became aware of a young singer named Elvis Presley.  Presley had a singing style different from the current trend, and Parker was immediately interested in the future of this musical style.  On March 26, 1956, Elvis signed a contract with Parker that made him his exclusive representative.

On June 26, 1968, Elvis, cast and crew enjoy a party in honor of his manager Colonel Tom Parker’s birthday.  Elvis performs special new comedic lyrics to the song It Hurts Me, giving a send-up to Colonel and his finagling with the producers.
